Follower tracker

Know who follows you on X

A follower count tells you how many, not who. xInsightss imports your follower list when you start, records every new follow after that, and shows whether someone follows you right where you talk to them: next to their reply.

The 7-day Pro trial includes 300 replies or follows. A card is required at checkout; it becomes $49/month unless you cancel before it ends.

xInsightss Followers on a demo account: follower, following and not-following-back counts above a dated list of recent follows and unfollows.

Your follower list, imported once

When you first sign in, the app loads your recent posts and the list of people who follow you. It runs once, at no cost, and usually takes under a minute. If you granted permission to follow and unfollow, that first step also switches on the follower watch below, which checks every ten minutes; you can switch it off in the app.

From then on the follower watch keeps the list current. It checks your follower count every ten minutes, reads your newest followers when the count grows, and compares the full list every six hours (every 12 hours from 10,000 followers, once a day from 50,000). The list of people you follow is re-read once a day.

Every new follower, as they arrive

New follows land in the activity list on the Followers page, newest first, with the time they were observed. You see who follows you for the first time, who followed you again, and who is now mutual. The Followers tab shows how many changes you haven't seen yet.

Home turns them into a task for the day: see who they are, follow back the ones you like, and reply to their next post.

Follow back by hand, or automatically

Next to people in Replies and Engage there is a Follow button when you don't follow them yet. Following and unfollowing by hand work on every plan, and each counts as one of your monthly replies or follows.

On Pro and Power you can switch on auto follow-back. Once you confirm it, the app follows every new follower 30–120 seconds after it notices them, until you turn it off. Automated follows and unfollows share one limit: 50 in 24 hours on Pro, 150 on Power. Follow-backs over the limit wait until a slot frees up.

X counts this as automated following, and the switch tells you so before you turn it on.

Who follows you, next to every reply

When someone replies to you, the card beside the conversation shows where you stand:

  • you follow each other,
  • they follow you and you don't follow back,
  • you follow them and they don't follow you,
  • or neither of you follows the other.

It also shows their follower and following counts and how many times you have answered them before. Engage uses the same lists to filter posts: your followers, people you follow, or new people who are neither.

Questions

Does tracking my followers use my monthly replies or follows?

No. The first import of your follower list and keeping it up to date are included. Only a follow or an unfollow you make counts, one each.

Can I see when my current followers followed me?

Only for follows that happen after you start. X keeps no history of who followed when, so the people already following you are imported as they are, and dated follows begin the day the watch starts.

Will the app follow people without asking?

Only if you switch on auto follow-back on Pro or Power and confirm it. Otherwise nobody is followed until you press Follow.

Which plan do I need?

Every plan tracks your followers and lets you follow and unfollow by hand. Auto follow-back comes with Pro (up to 50 automated follows and unfollows in 24 hours) and Power (up to 150), and with the 7-day Pro trial.

Try it on your own account.

Sign in with X and start the trial. The first import of your posts and followers usually takes under a minute.
